Dear Friend, November 2012
Our first OAC Overseas Ministries banquet was truly a time of celebration, reunion and vision. If you attended, thank you so very much…we enjoyed having you with us. If you were not able to attend, we missed you.
It was a time of giving thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for all He has done through this ministry over the past 30 years. We watched a video of our evangelists proclaiming the gospel to lost souls, and then heard a report about churches in India established through OAC open air outreaches as we work in partnership with the Church. Every day through our national evangelists in 10 countries, over 1,000 people of all ages are being reached with the Good News of Salvation.
It was also a time of reunion as members from past mission teams met and fellowshipped together. Our first team went overseas 18 years ago, and now over 40 teams have served in Brazil, Paraguay and Ecuador. Thousands have been reached with the gospel, and 36 of the team members are now serving in full-time ministry. We honored Mike and Karen Baumgardner, who have been greatly used in organizing, training and leading many of these teams.
And it was also a time when we focused on the future, asking God to help us increase the support for our OAC national evangelists and to increase their number as we move further into the harvest fields. It is almost impossible to obtain support for evangelists in developing countries, so nearly all must come from God’s people abroad.
We are enclosing the same response form that was distributed at our banquet. If you were not able to attend or were not ready to give at the banquet, would you pray about what the Lord of the harvest would have you to do concerning support of the ministry? We thank God for the way He provides through His people.
May the Lord bless and use you for His kingdom and glory.
In His Service,
